Nintendo is celebrating Mar10 Day with a weeklong sale on select Mario games

SAVE 35%: Now through March 13, a handful of Mario games for the Nintendo Switch are on sale for just $38.99 (normally $59.99) in honor of “Mar10 Day” — shop the savings at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, GameStop, and in the Nintendo eShop.

It’s a-that time again, folks: March 10 marks the video game world’s annual celebration of Mario Day — get it? Mar10 Day? — an unofficial holiday that pays tribute to Nintendo’s beloved overall-wearing, mustache-having, Goomba-squashing plumber.

We normally see retailers commemorate the occasion with a day’s worth of discounts on Mario-themed products, but this year, Nintendo’s decided to extend the festivities all week long: Now through 11:59 PST on March 13, you can score select Mario games on sale for just $38.99 apiece, or 35% off their $59.99 MSRPs. (That’s probably a nod to the fact that the Super Mario Bros. series celebrated its *35th* anniversary last September.)

Choose from Super Mario Party, a board game-style star-collecting contest for up to four players; Luigi’s Mansion 3, a ghost-busting romp through a haunted hotel starring Mario’s brother; Super Mario Maker 2, a side-scroller that lets you create custom 2D courses; and Mario Tennis Aces, an arcade game that pits Mario against other Mushroom Kingdom characters in intense tennis battles.

This special Mario Day sale pricing is live in the Nintendo eShop (for strictly digital downloads) and at several participating retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, and GameStop, so you’ve got plenty of opportunities to save.
